A photograph, 150X120cm.
Realized for a homage exhibition to the playwright Hanoch Levin, the photo gathers contemporary patriarchs. The books on the table include, besides those written by those present and Levin, titles pertaining to Zionism, decadence and scatology - from “Degenration” by Max Nordau, to a romantic novel authored by the young Joseph Goebbels. The rainbow drawing (by my son) connotes an assault by the IDF on the occupied territories under this ludicrous name (see my text regarding such rhetoric devices employed by the occupation). Objects in the room also include the logo of Ziona, the protagonist of my 2006 novel, a dysfunctional super-heroine operating in Tel Aviv.
